Lore Overview
Whether killers act out of madness or are shaped by the cruelty of their surroundings is a question without a simple answer. For one man, however, there was never a choice—his nature and his family’s nurture were one and the same.
Leatherface, known as The Cannibal, does not kill to dominate, or to indulge some sinister fantasy. He kills because he is afraid. Afraid of strangers who threaten his world, afraid of disappointing the only people who matter to him—his family. Their approval is everything, and their dark traditions are law. Outsiders are danger, and danger must be cut down.
He wears many faces, each a role he has been taught to play. Cook. Caretaker. Performer. Executioner. His family once guided him, but as they withered with age and loss, the burden fell to him to keep their way of life alive. And so he obeyed, clinging to the fragile comfort of their love.
But when outsiders trespassed on their home, everything unraveled. His brother was struck down, killed before his eyes by a faceless trucker. Rage and grief collided with the gnawing terror that he had failed. He spun in fury, chainsaw roaring against the weight of a world crumbling around him.
It was then that something greater reached for him. A presence beyond sight, seeping into his bones like the familiar dread of failing his family. It promised purpose. Security. Obedience. In the Entity’s Realm, Leatherface was given what he could not lose again—a place, a duty, and the assurance that his skills would never be wasted.
Now, when the Fog parts and outsiders come, he knows what must be done. Fear guides his hands, loyalty drives his strikes, and the chainsaw sings its violent hymn until silence reigns once more.
Let them come. He will not fail this family.

Your vicious Basic Attacks make Survivors drop their Items on impact:
- Causes dropped Items to slowly lose their Charges over 150/120/90 seconds.
- The Auras of dropped Items are revealed to you within 32 metres.
- The level of depletion is indicated by the colour of the Aura, ranging from white to red as the timer elapses.

The trauma caused by your brutal attacks makes crying for help painfully difficult.
Putting a Survivor into the Dying State with your Basic Attack blocks their Aura from being revealed to any Survivor, who is farther than 32/24/16 metres away from them.
For the next 15 seconds, the following effects apply to the dying Survivor:
- Reduces their Field of View and causes them to be deafened.
- Suffers from the Blindness Status Effect.
- Reduces the Crawling speed by -50 %.
- Reduces the Recovery speed by -25 %.

Bamboozle
Clown Perk
After vaulting a Window, Bamboozle calls upon The Entity to block that Window for the next 8/12/16 seconds.
- Blocked Windows cannot be vaulted by Survivors.
- Increases your general Vaulting speed by 5/10/15 %.
Bamboozle only blocks one Window at a time and does not apply either of its effects to vaulting Pallets.

Each time a Survivor is hooked for the first time, Grim Embrace gains +1 Token and activates once you are at least 16 metres away from the Hook:
- 1-3 Tokens: Blocks all Generators for 6/8/10 seconds.
- 4 Tokens: Blocks all Generators for 40 seconds and the Aura of the Obsession is revealed to you for 6 seconds.

A Hex that affects the Generator Repair progress of all Survivors.
- Whenever a Generator is not being repaired by a Survivor, it will immediately and automatically regress its Repair progress at 50/75/100 % of the normal Regression speed.
All effects of the Hex Perk persist until its Hex Totem is cleansed or blessed.
Hex: Blood Favour

A Hex that gains the favour of The Entity when blood is spilt.
- Whenever a Survivor loses a Health State by any means and thus enters the Injured State or the Dying State, Hex: Blood Favour calls upon The Entity to block all Pallets within 24/28/32 metres of that Survivor’s location from being pulled down for the next 15 seconds.
All effects of the Hex Perk persist until its Hex Totem is cleansed or blessed.

A Hex which maintains the vile powers that flow throughout the Trial.
The Auras of Survivors within 2/3/4 metres of any Dull Totem are revealed to you.
- When another Perk’s Hex Totem is cleansed or blessed, its Hex is transferred to the Hex: Undying Totem, including any accumulated Tokens, disabling Hex: Undying instead.
All effects of the Hex Perk persist until its Hex Totem is cleansed or blessed.
Sloppy Butcher

You know where to hit to make them bleed.
- Wounds inflicted by Basic Attacks cause Survivors to suffer from the Haemorrhage and Mangled Status Effects for 70/80/90 seconds.
- Increases the Bleeding frequency of injured Survivors by 50/75/100 % for the same duration.
- Increases the Regression rate at which partial Healing Progression is lost because of Haemorrhage by +25 %.

Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance

Overwhelming pain reverberates outwards.
At the start of the Trial, 4 random Hooks are changed into Scourge Hooks:
- The Auras of Scourge Hooks are revealed to you in white.
You start the Trial with 4 Tokens on Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance.
Each time a Survivor is hooked on a Scourge Hook for the first time, 1 Token is consumed and the following effects apply:
- The Generator with the most Progression explodes and instantly regresses by 10/15/20 % of its total Progression.
- Normal Generator Regression applies afterwards.
- All Survivors repairing that Generator will scream, but not reveal their location.
Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance is disabled for the remainder of the Trial once all Tokens are consumed.

Your distressing presence drains and weakens your prey.
All Survivors repairing a Generator suffer from the following afflictions:
- Incurs the Blindness and Exhausted Status Effects for the duration of the Repair action.
- If a Survivor was already suffering from Exhausted prior to Mindbreaker affecting them, the Status Effect’s timer will be paused and not recover for the duration of the Repair action.
- Both Status Effects linger for another 3/4/5 seconds after a Survivor stops repairing.

Start the Trial with 3 Tokens.
Whenever you break a Breakable Wall or a dropped Pallet, THWACK! consumes -1 Token and applies the following effect:
- Causes all Survivors within 24 metres of your location to scream and reveal their location for 3/4/5 seconds.
Whenever you hook a Survivor, THWACK! is granted +1 Token.

At the start of the Trial, 4 random Hooks are changed into Scourge Hooks:
- The Auras of Scourge Hooks are revealed to you in white.
Each time a Survivor is unhooked from a Scourge Hook, the following effects apply:
- The Survivor suffers from the Haemorrhage and Mangled Status Effects for 90 seconds.
- Upon being healed, the Survivor suffers from a 10/13/16 % Action Speed penalty to Healing and Repairing until they are injured again.
No Way Out
Trickster Perk
You are not going to let just anyone into the VIP room.
For each Survivor you hook for the first time, No Way Out gains 1 Token.
Once the Exit Gates have been powered, No Way Out activates:
- When a Survivor interacts with an Exit Gate Switch, you receive a Loud Noise Notification and The Entity blocks both Exit Gate Switches for 12 seconds and an additional 6/9/12 seconds per Token in your possession, up to a combined maximum of 36/48/60 seconds.
