Lore Overview

Burong Sukapat dreamed of stardom, her voice swelling with passion in the rehearsal halls of Thailand. Yet no matter how hard she tried, she remained an understudy, eclipsed by brighter stars. Desperate to shine, she accepted a strange gift from a rival singer—an elixir that promised both talent and fame. Burong drank deeply, never suspecting the horror it would awaken.

Her voice blossomed, her auditions captivated directors, but her body began to betray her. Blood filled her throat, her skin burned, and each night she awoke to slaughter she could not remember. Chickens torn apart, blood on her hands, and soon—her dearest friend disemboweled in her own bed.

Burong’s torment reached its peak when her body split, her head tearing free with entrails trailing behind. Transformed into a Krasue, she became a ravenous spirit of hunger, feeding on flesh while her mortal life flourished under the spotlight. Onstage, she was a star; in the dark, a monster.

But fame was never enough. Her hunger grew insatiable, until the fog rolled in, carrying the promise of endless flesh hung on hooks and prey that could never truly escape. The Entity had found a new singer, one whose songs were drowned in screams.

Creates a Hex Totem that curses the farthest Generator from its location:

  • The Aura of the Cursed Generator is highlighted in yellow.

When a Survivor repairs the Cursed Generator for at least 5 seconds, Hex: Overture of Doom triggers the following effects for 20/25/30 seconds:

  • Transfers your Terror Radius to the Cursed Generator.
    • This Terror Radius is set to 32 metres.
  • Grants the Undetectable Status Effect.

Once the Cursed Generator is repaired, the next farthest Generator becomes cursed.
All effects of a Hex Perk persist until its Hex Totem is cleansed or blessed.

Whenever you hook a Survivor for the first time, Ravenous gains +1 Token, up to a maximum of 4 Tokens.
Once you accumulate 4 Tokens, all Survivors suffer from the following effects:

  • Causes them to scream.
  • Inflicts the Exposed Status Effect for 40/50/60 seconds.

Whenever you start chasing a Survivor, Wandering Eye triggers the following effect:

Once you accumulate 4 Tokens, all Survivors suffer from the following effects:

  • Causes them to scream.
  • Inflicts the Exposed Status Effect for 40/50/60 seconds.

Survivors hit with your vicious Basic Attack suffer from the following effects for 70/80/90 seconds:

  • Modifies the potency of Haemorrhage:
    • Increases the Spawn frequency of Pools of Blood by 50/75/100 %.
    • Increases the Regression rate of partial Healing progression by +25 %.

“Their courage fades in the face of their undeniable mortality.”

Whenever at least one Survivor is either injured, dying, or hooked, Thanatophobia activates.
While active, all Survivors suffer from the following primary effect:

  • Incurs a stack-able 1/1.5/2 % Action-Speed penalty per injured, dying, or hooked Survivor for Cleansing, Repairing, and Sabotaging, up to a maximum of 4/6/8 %.
If all four Survivors are either injured, dying, or hooked, they suffer from the following secondary effect:
  • Increases the penalty by an additional +12 % to a total of 16/18/20 %.

Unlocks potential in your Aura-reading ability:

  • The Auras of injured Survivors being healed or healing themselves are revealed to you within 20/24/28 metres.

Trickster Perk

You are not going to let just anyone into the VIP room.

For each Survivor you hook for the first time, No Way Out gains 1 Token.
Once the Exit Gates have been powered, No Way Out activates:

  • When a Survivor interacts with an Exit Gate Switch, you receive a Loud Noise Notification and The Entity blocks both Exit Gate Switches for 12 seconds and an additional 6/9/12 seconds per Token in your possession, up to a combined maximum of 36/48/60 seconds.

Nightmare Perk

As soon as at least one Exit Gate is opened, Blood Warden activates:

  • The Auras of Survivors are revealed to you, whenever they are inside the Exit Gate.

Once per Trial, hooking a Survivor while Blood Warden is active calls upon The Entity to trigger the following effect:

  • Blocks all opened Exit Gates for 40/50/60 seconds, preventing any remaining Survivor from leaving the Trial through them.

Nightmare Perk

Whenever the Obsession loses a Health State by any means, Remember Me gains +1 Token, up to a maximum of 3/4/5 Tokens:

Increases the Opening time of both Exit Gates by a stack-able 6 seconds per Token, up to a maximum additional Opening time of 18/24/30 seconds.
This results in a maximum possible Opening time of 38/44/50 seconds for both Exit Gates.

Remember Me does not apply its penalty to the Obsession, allowing them to open both Exit Gates in the default time of 20 seconds.

You can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.

A Hex that gains the favour of The Entity when blood is spilt.

  • Whenever a Survivor loses a Health State by any means and thus enters the Injured State or the Dying State, Hex: Blood Favour calls upon The Entity to block all Pallets within 24/28/32 metres of that Survivor’s location from being pulled down for the next 15 seconds.

 

All effects of the Hex Perk persist until its Hex Totem is cleansed or blessed.

You have been designed to track down and eliminate targets.

At the start of the Trial, the Auras of all Survivors are revealed to you for 7/8/9 seconds.

  • Extends the duration of all instances of a Survivor Aura being revealed to you by +2 seconds.

Lethal Pursuer benefits from its own effect.

Whenever a Generator is repaired to 70 %, you benefit from the following effects:

  • Triggers a Loud Noise Notification for that Generator, revealing its location.

Overwhelming pain reverberates outwards.

At the start of the Trial, 4 random Hooks are changed into Scourge Hooks:

The Auras of Scourge Hooks are revealed to you in white.

You start the Trial with 4 Tokens on Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance.

Each time a Survivor is hooked on a Scourge Hook for the first time, 1 Token is consumed and the following effects apply:

  • The Generator with the most Progression explodes and instantly regresses by 10/15/20 % of its total Progression.
  • Normal Generator Regression applies afterwards.
  • All Survivors repairing that Generator will scream, but not reveal their location.

 

Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance is disabled for the remainder of the Trial once all Tokens are consumed.

You induce mental suffering by crushing any hope of escape.

After a generator is repaired, The Entity blocks the generator with the most progress for 15/20/25 seconds. You see its white aura during this time.

Your anger forces Survivors to reveal themselves.

Performing the Damage Generator action on a Generator triggers Nowhere to Hide:

Eruption has a cool-down of 30 seconds.
