The Ghostface (Danny Johnson)
Lore Overview

Every killer loves attention, but few crave it quite like Danny Johnson — the man the world would come to know as The Ghost Face. Behind the charm of Jed Olsen, a smiling journalist and “friendly freelancer,” lurked something much darker: a voyeur, a predator, and an artist obsessed with his own infamy.

To the staff at the Roseville Gazette, Jed was an eager new hire — polite, professional, and hungry for a good story. He blended in perfectly, collecting trust as easily as he collected headlines. But beneath the easy grin, Danny Johnson was documenting more than words. He was chronicling his own atrocities — the Roseville Murders.

Victims were found butchered in their homes, doors unforced, lives extinguished with calculated precision. The police were baffled. The town was terrified. And Jed Olsen? He was thriving. He wrote their horror into print, feeding off the fear he’d created. Each article, each photograph, each whispered rumor — all were part of his masterpiece.

When he captured the image of a masked figure slipping into a house at night, Roseville’s panic erupted. The headline read: “The Ghost Face Caught on Tape.” No one suspected the man behind the camera was also the man behind the mask.

Then, without warning, Jed vanished. On his desk, a note remained:

“I hope you liked my stories — I enjoyed bringing them to life. Don’t worry, I’m not done.”

Danny Johnson had simply moved on, like a phantom chasing the next thrill. He lived for the chase, the fear, the kill — and the spectacle that followed. To him, murder was performance art, and terror his medium.

One humid Florida night, as he admired his grim collage of victims and headlines, the air grew cold. The heat and stench of sweat were replaced by something else — Fog. It poured through the cracks in the walls, swallowing the room and the life he knew. Then came the whisper of footsteps, the crunch of leaves, and the echo of a scream.

Danny smiled behind his mask. The Entity had given him a new audience — one that would never stop watching, and never stop running.

“Smile for the camera… this story ends in blood.”

“You lurk in the shadows, eliminating your victims one by one.”
