The Artist (Carmina Mora)
Lore Overview
Carmina Mora, known in the fog as The Artist, was a gifted Chilean painter whose life was marred by personal tragedy and political violence. Her art, once vibrant and full of social commentary, became dark and unsettling following the brutal murder of her younger brother. Driven by grief, Carmina’s work grew increasingly critical of oppressive forces in her homeland, making her a target of a ruthless regime.
After being abducted and mutilated—her tongue cut out and hands disfigured—Carmina should have died. But as she lay broken and abandoned, a murder of crows surrounded her. In that moment of despair, The Entity intervened. It gave her new form and purpose, twisting her anguish and creativity into a deadly power. Her once-beautiful creations became instruments of torment, and the crows that once inspired her became her allies in death.
Now, The Artist haunts the trials, using her spectral birds to harass, wound, and corner Survivors. A tragic figure warped by sorrow and vengeance, she is both a monster and a masterpiece born from unrelenting suffering.
Your act of servitude to The Entity has not gone unnoticed.
Each time a Survivor is hooked for the first time, Grim Embrace gains +1 Token and activates once you are at least 16 metres away from the Hook:

“Are we nothing but prisoners to our sorrow?” — Carmina Mora

When a Rekindled Totem is cleansed, its remains are consumed by The Entity and it cannot be rekindled.
“Though a pentimento is an inherently concealed piece of art, there is something to be said of the desire to discover that which is beyond.” — A Guide to Art & Process (1961)
